What inspired you to be a part of the music industry?
I never aspired to be a part of the "music industry". I simply wanted to express the real me. I feel that I have a voice meant to be heard, so I want everyone and their grandmama to hear it.
What are your thoughts on the hip-hop industry at the moment?
I believe it is evolving into an even more "self made" market. The necessity of a major record label recognizing you to make it, is a thing of the past.
What is your first memory involving music?
I wrote a poem that turned into a verse about a kid at my elementary school who had committed suicide. I wrote it and then spit it for my moms and step pops. The end result was them with tears in their eyes and pure disbelief and amazement that their son had composed such a compilation at 12
Outside of music, what do you do in your free time?
Create residual income. That way I will always have a foundation and not have to rely on my passion to pay my bills. I realized at a younger age that If I chased my ambition of music for the money, I lost total interest. Therefore, I found other avenues to make a great living outside of music. Anything made in music will just be a plus, that makes the creative process flow so much easier, not forced because I am trying to pay my bills with it.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Bill withers, red hot chilli peppers. Eagles Greg Allman. Marshall tucker band, Johnny Cash, Jonny Lang, drake, jay z, Scotty Atl
Do you have any new music coming out in the near future?
Without a doubt. I'm finishing up some music to take on my 2016-17 "fire in the hallway tour"
i wear a suit and tie like JT but am inked up. I came from a very rough up bringing and background. I spent 9 months in solitary confinement facing a life sentence for a crime I didn't commit(which was one of the best things to have ever happened to me) and have some rough edges. But, with all that said, I have the clean cut look also that attracts my target demographic and the sound that catches an audience off guard. I'm a walking cliche who woke up some time ago and isn't "chasing dreams " but living the reality of them everyday. I WILL change the game and the face of hip hop. I also don't try to put off the tough guy persona, but instead one of peace but don't fuck with me attitudes. I hope to see you guys soon on our ascent to the top
